Candy themed Sweet 16 Court help?

I am not hispanic so this has nothing to do with the traditional mexican known Quince. I am having a candy themed sweet 16 and my dress is going to be short (mid thigh) and fluffy like a ballerinas tutu. I used to do Ballet as a child so i wanted to symbolize that. I have ten close girl friends i wanted to treat as V.I.P. and we are going to walk in on a purple carpet. I wanted help on deciding what the entrance should be like and how their dresses should look, colors wise and i am wondering if i should include guys in the V.I.P as well. What should i do?

cute dress! so if its candy themed have them wear cute bright colors like you, yellow, turquoise, red, orange, green. or they could all pick a candy to represent, like one could be a Reese’s girl and wear orange and brown, a sweetarts girl who wears pink and blue, you know what i mean? and you can accessorize with candies, like wearing candy necklaces. or if all that is too much just give them one of those big swirl lollipops and have them hold it. =)

on and by the way a quince is when girls celebrate their 15th b-day, it really shouldn’t be mistaken for one
