Simple – The bible can be perplexing, confusing and complicated at times, you may feel bored, unworthy, or unqualified to read it because of this. We don't know it all, but we want to share in ways that are simple as we understand it in laymen's (easy) terms and as God in his graciousness has revealed it to us, with the hope that his word will come alive to you in your daily life.
Real Transparent & Down to Earth – Being “real” and genuine in our relationships is very important, but its not always easy, especially because most of us don't want other people( especially other women) to know that we have problems, we want look good, right! But I have come to learn that being real and transparent is critical for growth. And although it can be hard, because it’s a call to humility, it is good. By allowing other women to see the “real me” with all my struggles it decreases “me” and increases Jesus. Our hope is that by being real with our lives, women will know that if Jesus can get us through our struggles, he can help them get through theirs. No one enjoys being a people pleasing pretender! We want to be who God made us, we want to stop measuring ourselves to others and start measuring ourselves with the word of God.
John 3:30
“He must increase, but I must decrease”
2 Corinthians 10:12
“For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they measuring themselves by themselves and ncomparing themselves among themselves are not wise.”
Applicable – Applying God’s word is critical! I cannot stress its importance enough! For years I did the religious thing (by “religious” I mean looking “Christian like” on the outside, but no real change on the in-side), and I always wondered why I was so miserable and defeated. Then finally the bells went on, I actually need to apply it if I want to experience freedom and God’s glory!! HELLOOOOOO! But on a serious note, some of us, me included need to hear and see Gods word in ways that make sense to us today. Sometimes we need pictures drawn. Our hope is that as we apply the Word of God in our own lives and see him change us, we want to share it with other women to help them apply it too.
James 1:22 (AMP) But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].
